1.What size carry-on suitcase should I bring?
Size: (Depending on aircraft type)
For 100 or more seats
The sum of the three sides (length, width, height) must be within 115cm and each of the three sides must be within (55cm x 40cm x 25cm)
Less than 100 seats
The sum of the three sides (length, width, height) must be within 100cm and each of the three sides must be within (45cm x 35cm x 20cm)
Number of items: 1 carry-on bag and 1 personal item per person (up to 2 items in total)
Weight limit: Up to 10kg per person . If the limit is exceeded, any baggage that cannot be placed under the seat or in the luggage compartment must be checked in.
2. What is the free checked baggage allowance for Japan Airlines international flights?
① First Class and Business Class: 3 pieces. The sum of the three dimensions of each piece of baggage must not exceed 80 inches (203 cm) . Each piece must not exceed 70 pounds (32 kg) .
If the number of checked baggage items exceeds the free baggage allowance, a fee will be charged for each excess baggage item.
(Note) Items weighing more than 100 pounds (45 kg) cannot be accepted as checked baggage.
② Economy Class: 2 pieces. The sum of the three dimensions of each piece of baggage must not exceed 80 inches (203 cm) . Each piece must not exceed 50 pounds (23 kg) .
However, if each piece weighs more than 50 pounds (23 kg) but less than 70 pounds (32 kg), an overweight baggage fee of USD 100 will be charged per piece.
If the number of checked baggage items exceeds the free baggage allowance, a fee will be charged for each excess baggage item.
(Note) Items weighing more than 100 pounds (45 kg) cannot be accepted as checked baggage.
③ Children without a seat: 1 piece. The sum of the three sides and weight will be the same as that of the accompanying adult.

3. What happens if I exceed my baggage allowance? How is the fee calculated?
Excess baggage handling
Conditions for checked baggage: If your baggage is overweight (over 10kg), oversized (over 115cm in any of the three dimensions), or if the flight is full, ground staff or gate agents will check it in. If your baggage exceeds the free checked baggage allowance, an additional charge will be incurred.

4. Do baby items (such as strollers) count towards my baggage allowance?
Free checked baggage: Collapsible strollers, bassinets, car seats, etc. do not take up carry-on baggage allowance and do not incur an additional charge.
Checked baggage allowance: Infants who do not occupy a seat can check in one piece free of charge. The weight limit is the same as for adults, and the total dimensions (sum of three dimensions ≦ 203cm) must be met.
Restrictions on use on board: Strollers must be checked in at the boarding gate. Baby baskets that meet safety standards are only permitted on board the aircraft.
5. How should I store my baggage on board? What are the regulations for special seats?
The rules for storing luggage are as follows:
Standard storage position: Fully stored under or in the overhead compartment of the front seat, without blocking aisles or emergency exits.
Exit row seats: No luggage is permitted under the seat and all carry-on baggage must be placed in the overhead bins.
